Turkey Price-Fixing Settlement for Direct Buyers: File by Oct 30

A case called In re Turkey Antitrust Litigation, playing out in federal court in the Northern District of Illinois, accuses major turkey producers and the data firm Agri Stats of teaming up to fix, inflate, and hold steady the price of certain turkey products sold in the U.S. from January 1, 2010, through December 31, 2016. The Direct Purchaser Plaintiffs allege Agri Stats circulated detailed reports that let producers track each other's supply levels and pricing in ways that harmed buyers. Every defendant denies wrongdoing, and the court has not ruled on whether Agri Stats, Butterball, JOTS, Prestage, or House of Raeford actually did anything improper.

The court has already certified the "Certified Class" and is now reviewing these newest settlements, but no money will go out unless the court grants final approval and any appeals wrap up, so nothing is guaranteed yet. Separately, in July 2026 the court sided with Foster Farms and Perdue on summary judgment; their settlements simply close the case between those parties without further litigation or fee disputes.

You may be eligible if you or your business directly purchased fresh or frozen, uncooked turkey breast, ground turkey, or whole bird turkey products from one of the defendants in the U.S. between 2010 and 2016. Even if you already submitted a claim earlier in this litigation, you'll need to file again by October 30, 2026, because this settlement round applies a different, more limited definition of "turkey."

You'd only need to submit documentation if you want to dispute or add to those figures, which is done through a Purchase Audit Request Form.
