Fandango Fee Settlement: Get $3.25 Cash or a Voucher

A class action accuses Fandango of two things: failing to clearly disclose a mandatory convenience fee when people bought movie tickets online for California theaters between June 11, 2020 and June 17, 2024, and offering FanClub memberships, complete with $10 monthly credits, discounts, or promo codes, that expired after just 30 days, affecting California and Washington members who signed up between October 7, 2024 and April 16, 2025. Fandango hasn't admitted any wrongdoing, but agreed to a $9.4 million settlement to put the case to rest. The Court has granted preliminary approval, with a final approval hearing set for August 7, 2026.

What you get depends on which group you fall into. If you're a Convenience Fee Class Member and prefer cash over a voucher, you'll need to submit a valid Claim Form using the unique Notice ID and Confirmation Code from the email notice you received, which serves as proof of your eligibility, this gets you a $3.25 payment. FanClub Class Members don't have to do anything to claim their benefit: a voucher will be sent automatically. Not sure if you qualify?
