Fujifilm Data Breach Settlement: $50 Cash or Up to $2,500 for Losses

Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies U.S.A., Inc. discovered a data security incident around September 2025. A lawsuit alleges that hackers may have accessed or taken sensitive personal information belonging to the company's current and former employees, including names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's license details, passport numbers, retirement account information, and medical information.

The people who sued claim Fujifilm should be held responsible for the exposure. Fujifilm denies any wrongdoing and denies the allegations, and no court has ruled that the company broke any law. Rather than continue litigating, both sides agreed to settle.

The settlement has not received final approval. A Final Approval Hearing is set for December 11, 2026, and no benefits will be paid unless and until the court approves the deal and it becomes final.

You may qualify if your personal information was potentially affected by this incident and you received a notice about it. To claim benefits, you must submit a Claim Form by November 25, 2026, either online or by mailing a printed form.

Everyone who qualifies can get two years of free credit monitoring, plus a choice between two cash options: up to $2,500 for documented out-of-pocket losses connected to the breach, or a flat $50 with no documentation required. Claims for out-of-pocket losses must be backed by proof like receipts, bills, or account records, your own written statement alone won't count.

To file online, you'll need the LoginID and PIN printed on the notice mailed to you. If you can't locate them, email [email protected] with your full name and mailing address to request them. The settlement administrator may also reach out if more information is needed to process your claim.
