Case overview
What is the GoodRx settlement about?
GoodRx, known for telehealth services and prescription discount coupons, is accused in a lawsuit of sharing users' sensitive personal and health information with advertising and analytics companies, including Criteo, Meta, and Google, from at least 2017 to 2020. The shared data allegedly included prescription details, health conditions, email addresses, and phone numbers, gathered through tracking tools embedded in GoodRx's websites and apps. The lawsuit claims these companies then used the information for their own purposes.
GoodRx and Criteo deny any wrongdoing and maintain they broke no laws, but agreed to a $32 million settlement to avoid the expense and uncertainty of continued litigation. This settlement resolves only the claims against GoodRx and Criteo, claims against Meta and Google remain ongoing separately. The court granted preliminary approval on September 8, 2026, with a final approval hearing scheduled for February 11, 2027.
You may be eligible if you used any GoodRx-offered website, app, or service before April 20, 2024, including the GoodRx website and app, GoodRx Gold, HeyDoctor, or GoodRx Care. To claim your share, submit a claim form online by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 29, 2026, or mail a postmarked form by that date. Only one claim is allowed per person, regardless of how many notices you received.
Each approved claimant will receive an equal portion of the settlement fund remaining after court-approved deductions, administrative costs, taxes, attorneys' fees of up to one-third of the fund, as much as $125,000 in litigation expenses, and service awards for the named plaintiffs. There are no payment tiers or separate award categories, and expenses are not reimbursed separately.
Filing a claim doesn't require any receipts or supporting documents. You'll need to provide your name, street address (P.O. Boxes aren't accepted), email, and phone number, plus confirm you lived in the United States and used a qualifying GoodRx website, app, or service before April 20, 2024. The form can be signed electronically online or by hand if mailed. Anyone filing on behalf of someone else must include documentation proving their authority to do so.
If you received a settlement notice, it may contain a Unique ID and PIN that can speed up processing, though they're optional, you can still file without a notice at all. Should the claims administrator spot an issue with your submission, they'll reach out, giving you 20 days to correct it.
