Case overview
What is the Sony (Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC) settlement about?
A class action accuses Sony Interactive Entertainment of anticompetitive conduct that allegedly let it monopolize the PlayStation digital game market, driving up prices for customers who bought certain digital games through the PlayStation Store. Sony denies any wrongdoing, and no court has ruled that laws were broken, but Sony has agreed to a $7,850,000 settlement to resolve the dispute.
The deal still needs court sign-off: a Fairness Hearing is set for October 15, 2026 to decide whether it gets final approval. Most eligible members don't need to do anything, payments will land automatically as PSN wallet credits, with no proof of purchase required. The exception is anyone whose PSN account has been deactivated; those people must submit their qualifying purchase details along with a current address by August 27, 2026 to get paid by check instead.
There's no standalone online claim form for this case. Instead, watch for an official notice, check the eligible-games list, or call the settlement helpline at (877) 777-9145 to confirm you qualify.
