Yahoo Accused of Secret Tracking in ConnectID Class Action Lawsuit

Yahoo is facing a new proposed class action lawsuit alleging that the company secretly tracked millions of internet users through its ConnectID technology. According to the suit, Yahoo used email-based identifiers to follow users across the web, sidestepping standard privacy safeguards and quietly building detailed profiles to strengthen its advertising business, all allegedly without obtaining user consent.
