700Credit $17.5 Million Data Breach Settlement Claims Are Closed

A lawsuit claims that hackers used stolen login credentials to break into 700Credit's 700Dealer.com web application, potentially exposing personal details like names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and other identifying information. 700Credit denies any wrongdoing or liability, and no court has ruled that the company broke the law.

A judge has given preliminary approval to a proposed settlement resolving the case, but benefits won't go out unless and until the deal receives final approval. A Final Approval Hearing is set for October 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

You may be eligible if you received an email or postcard in July or August 2026 saying your private information could have been exposed in the 700Credit Data Incident. Filing a Claim Form online is required to get a cash payment, though no claim form is needed to receive the two years of free credit monitoring offered to all Settlement Class Members.

If you're seeking reimbursement for documented losses, you'll need to submit supporting paperwork; the Alternate Cash option doesn't require documentation. Note that the settlement administrator may audit claims or ask for extra information.

To submit a claim online, you'll need the 10-character Unique ID and four-digit PIN from your notice, and you'll get a confirmation code by email once you're done. If you never got a notice or have lost it, you can reach the Settlement Administrator at 1-877-502-7785, there's no online lookup tool for your ID.
