Emanate Health Patients May Qualify for Pixel Privacy Payout

Emanate Health Medical Center has proposed a $777,000 settlement to resolve claims that tracking tools on its website and patient portal, including the Meta Pixel, shared users' personal identifying information and possibly protected health information with outside companies like Facebook. Emanate denies any wrongdoing, and the Court has not ruled on the merits of the allegations.

You may be eligible if you logged into Emanate's patient portal, filled out an online form, or scheduled an appointment through Emanate's public website between August 30, 2019, and April 30, 2024.

To get paid, you'll need to file a claim by September 29, 2026. The claim form asks for a Settlement Claim ID, which should be listed on the notice you received by email or postcard; there's a lookup tool to help locate it if you've misplaced it, or you can reach out to the Settlement Administrator for help.

No extra documentation is needed for a standard claim, just your Settlement Class Member ID, confirmation that you engaged in one of the qualifying activities, and your signature and date on the form. If your claim is incomplete or lacks sufficient support, the Settlement Administrator may follow up for more details.

The settlement isn't final yet. A court hearing is scheduled for November 19, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., and payments will only go out once the settlement receives final approval and any appeals are resolved.
