Bought Tickets at Knott's Berry Farm or Great America? Claim $8 Back

Six Flags is facing a class action lawsuit claiming it violated California law by tacking an undisclosed "junk fee" onto online purchases of non-season tickets, specifically Knott's Berry Farm and Knott's Soak City tickets bought through www.knotts.com, and California's Great America tickets bought through www.cagreatamerica.com. The suit alleges the processing fee wasn't properly disclosed to buyers. Six Flags denies any wrongdoing and maintains it followed all applicable laws; no court has ruled on the merits.

Rather than proceed to trial, both sides reached a settlement, which has received preliminary, but not yet final, approval from the court. A Final Approval Hearing is scheduled for March 30, 2027, where that decision will be made.

You may be eligible if, between June 28, 2020, and July 1, 2024, you bought at least one non-season ticket on either website, entered a California billing address at checkout, and were charged a processing fee.

Eligible buyers are entitled to $8. If you don't do anything, you'll automatically receive an $8 credit by email redeemable at www.sixflags.com. That credit can be applied to a single order at any Six Flags park in the 48 continental states, has no blackout dates, can be combined with other offers, can be transferred to someone else, and is valid for 36 months after issuance. If you'd prefer cash instead of a credit, you'll need to submit a claim form.

No receipts or supporting documents are required, just your Notice ID. The claim form asks for basic information: your name, address, email, phone number, and Notice ID, plus a signature certifying everything is accurate. The Settlement Administrator may follow up for additional details about your claim.

To find out if you're covered, check for the personalized notice sent to you by mail or email, which includes your Notice ID and Confirmation Code, you'll need both to log in and submit your claim online. If you believe you qualify but never received a Notice ID, reach out to the Settlement Administrator directly, since the claim form can't be submitted without one.
