What is the Amazon case about?
Amazon is facing a large-scale antitrust lawsuit alleging it required third-party sellers to keep their Amazon prices at or below what they charged elsewhere, blocking sellers from offering cheaper deals on other platforms. Consumers claim this alleged price-parity requirement drove up prices across billions of purchases. A nationwide class of consumers has now been certified in the case, covering as many as 288 million people who may have been affected by the alleged scheme.
