Tom’s of Maine Toothpaste Settlement Deadline Passed

This coordinated class action involves allegations that Tom’s of Maine engaged in deceptive or misleading practices in the manufacturing, marketing, and sale of certain toothpaste products made at its facility in Sanford, Maine, between November 21, 2020 and March 6, 2026. The defendants deny any wrongdoing or liability.

A settlement has been reached in this matter to avoid the costs and risks of further litigation. This means the case is in court and not in arbitration, and it has not yet been finally resolved.

If you are eligible, you may file a claim for payment. Those with proof of purchase may receive a full refund for up to three products. Those without proof may receive the average manufacturer’s suggested retail price for one product. Payments may be reduced depending on the total number of approved claims.

Please note that the settlement is still awaiting final court approval. No payments will be made unless and until the court grants final approval and any appeals are resolved.
